I recently was fortunate to be able to spend a perfect Spring day at Point Reyes. The trip went from San Francisco on Route 1 via Muir Beach lookout and Bolinas to the national seashore. End of March is thought to be promising for whale watching at the lighthouse. Well I got lucky not only to really see some of these majestic animals passing about 300-450 ft from the shoreline, but also to see grassland painted with Spring flowers and massive surf at Point Reyes Beach.
